For the Tonawanda Creek...including Attica, Batavia, Rapids...Minor flooding is forecast. * WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Tonawanda Creek at Rapids. * WHEN...Until late Saturday morning. * IMPACTS...At 12.0 feet, Flood stage, lowland flooding of farm areas along Tonawanda Creek between Rapids and the Tonawanda Indian Reservation. Flooding may impact Fletcher, Burdick, Kelkenberg, and Tonawanda Creek Roads. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 3:00 PM EDT Thursday the stage was 11.49 feet. - Bankfull stage is 10.0 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage late this afternoon to a crest of 13.7 feet just after midnight tonight. Cumulus clouds are fluffy and textured with rounded tops, and
may have flat bottoms. The border of a cumulus cloud
is clearly defined, and can have the appearance of cotton or cauliflower.
Cumulus clouds form at low altitudes (rarely above 2 km) but can grow very tall,
becoming cumulus congestus and possibly the even taller cumulonimbus clouds.
When cumulus clouds become taller, they have a greater chance of producing precipitation.
