DESCRIPTION: ...The Flood Warning is extended for the following river and location in Indiana... White River at Newberry. ...The Flood Warning continues for the following river and locations in Indiana... White River at Edwardsport, Petersburg, Hazleton, and Elliston. .As of Wednesday evening minor flooding continues on the White River from Elliston southward, which will last as late as this weekend. The crest is between Edwardsport and Hazleton. Flooding ended on the East Fork White River this afternoon. * WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...White River at Edwardsport. * WHEN...Until Saturday evening. * IMPACTS...At 18.0 feet, Old Vincennes Road and State Road 358 in Daviess County and Schaefer Road in Knox County are impassable. High water affects agricultural bottomlands. During agricultural season this level is of concern to farmers on the unprotected areas along the river. High water affects river cabins. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 7:00 PM EDT Wednesday /6:00 PM CDT Wednesday/ the stage was 18.1 feet. - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 7:00 PM EDT Wednesday /6:00 PM CDT Wednesday/ was 18.2 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 18.3 feet just after midnight tonight. A wall cloud forms underneath the base of a cumulonimbus cloud,
and can be a hotbed for deadly tornadoes.
Wall clouds are formed by air flowing into the cumulonimbus clouds, which can
result in the wall cloud descending from the base of the cumulonimbus cloud, or
rising fractus clouds which join to the base of the storm cloud as the wall cloud
takes shape.
Wall clouds can be very large, and in the Northern Hemisphere they generally
form at the southern edge of cumulonimbus clouds.

Altostratus clouds form at mid to high-level altitudes
(between 2 and 7 km) and are created by a warm, stable air mass which causes
water vapor
to condense as it rise through the atmosphere. Usually altostratus clouds are
featureless sheets characterized by a uniform color.
In some cases, wind punching through the cloud formation may give it a waved
appearance, called altostratus undulatus. Altostratus clouds
are commonly seen with other cloud formations accompanying them.
