DESCRIPTION: ...The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in Indiana and Illinois... Wabash River from Lafayette to Hutsonville. .Multiple rounds of rainfall will bring minor lowland flooding to the Wabash River basin that could hang around through much of next week. The current river forecasts include around an inch of rainfall through Saturday morning, but do not include rainfall from Saturday through Sunday. Higher rainfall amounts in the Wabash basin could increase crests or lengthen the amount of time in flood. * WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Wabash River at Montezuma. * WHEN...Until Monday, April 13. * IMPACTS...At 24.0 feet, Floodwater is near the top of all agricultural levees. Some county roads are impassable. High water isolates a few rural residents. Basement flooding begins along Water Street in Montezuma. Medusa Aggregates Company Plant Number 9 begins to flood. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 11:45 PM EDT Thursday the stage was 15.9 feet. - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 11:45 PM EDT Thursday was 15.9 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 23.1 feet early Monday afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage Sunday, April 12. - Flood stage is 14.0 feet. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood

INSTRUCTION: Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive cars through flooded areas. Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding. A contrail is an artificial cloud, created by the passing of an aircraft.

Contrails form because water vapor in the exhaust of aircraft engines is suspended in the air under certain temperatures and humidity conditions. These contrails are called exhaust contrails.

Another type of contrail can form due to a temporary reduction in air pressure moving over the plane's surface, causing condensation. These are called aerodynamic contrails.

When you can see your breath on a cold day, it is also because of condensation. The reason contrails last longer than the condensation from your breath is because the water in contrails freezes into ice particles.
