DESCRIPTION: ...The Flood Warning is extended for the following rivers in Texas... Sulphur River Near Talco affecting Morris, Franklin, Red River and Titus Counties. For the Sulphur River...including Talco...Minor flooding is forecast. * WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Sulphur River near Talco. * WHEN...Until Sunday evening. * IMPACTS...At 25.0 feet, Expect minor flooding of lowland areas with a few secondary roadways closed. All cattle and equipment nearby the river should be moved to higher ground. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 9:45 AM CDT Wednesday the stage was 21.6 feet. - Bankfull stage is 20.0 feet. - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 9:45 AM CDT Wednesday was 21.6 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 24.5 feet Thursday morning. It will then fall below flood stage early Sunday morning. - Flood stage is 20.0 feet. - Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of 24.5 feet on 07/06/2017. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood

Hail is a form of precipitation which is recognized by large solid balls or
clumps of ice. Hail is created by thunderstorm clouds with strong updrafts of wind.
As the hailstones remain in the updraft, ice is deposited onto them until their
weight becomes heavy enough for them to fall to the earth's surface.
Hail storms can cause significant damage to crops, aircrafts, and man-made structures,
despite the fact that the duration is usually less than ten minutes.

A mammatus cloud is a cloud with a unique feature which resembles
a web of pouches hanging along the base of the cloud.
In the United States, mammatus clouds tend to form in the warmer months, commonly
in the Midwest and eastern regions.
While they usually form at the bottom of a cumulonimbis cloud, they can also form
under altostratus, altocumulus, stratocumulus, and cirrus clouds. Mammatus clouds
warn that severe weather is close.
